1. Requests and visit confirmation
Sending a request does not confirm a booking. We will contact you to agree availability and the arrangements for your visit. For emergency plumbing, please call +44 7783 305171 directly.
2. £50 call-out charge
The call-out charge is £50 for attendance and an on-site assessment. Once the visit and assessment have been provided, the charge remains payable if you change your mind or decide not to proceed with the quoted repair, replacement or installation, subject to your statutory rights.
There is no call-out or other charge for a return visit or corrective work covered by our 3-month workmanship guarantee or your statutory rights.
3. On-site assessment and quotations
We need to see the job at your property before quoting for the work. Online quotations are not provided. The proposed work and its price will be discussed after the assessment so that you can decide whether to proceed.
4. Changes and cancellation
To change or cancel a visit, contact us as soon as possible on +44 7783 305171 or at moses.plumbing.heating@gmail.com. Where statutory cancellation rights apply to a distance service contract, you normally have 14 days from the day after the contract is made to cancel.
If you expressly ask for the service to start during that period and later cancel, any amount payable for the service already provided must be proportionate and permitted by law. We will obtain any required early-start request and provide the applicable cancellation information before the visit is confirmed.
Specifically requested urgent repairs or maintenance may be excluded from the usual cooling-off right; additional goods or services can have different cancellation rights. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
5. Our 3-month workmanship guarantee
Repairs and installations we carry out include a workmanship guarantee for 3 months from the date that work is completed. It covers unexpected faults arising from the workmanship on that repair or installation. We will assess and put covered problems right at no additional cost, including the return visit, labour and materials needed to correct our work.
Covered example: if a newly installed shower leaks because a connection or seal in our installation is defective, we will return and correct the installation without an additional charge.
6. What the workmanship guarantee does not cover
- Accidental or physical damage after completion that was not caused by our work, such as a shower damaged by an impact.
- Misuse, or alterations or repairs by someone else, where these cause the problem.
- Unrelated faults or wear in existing equipment, components or pipework that we did not repair or replace.
A repair to an old shower does not renew every existing component. A separate worn component or another fault outside the agreed repair may require further work. A leak caused by defective workmanship in our original repair remains covered; an old appliance is not automatically excluded simply because of its age.
7. Further work and replacement options
If an old shower continues to leak, we will distinguish between a problem with our repair and a separate issue with the existing shower. Covered corrective work is free of charge.
For an issue outside the guarantee, a £50 call-out may apply or we may offer a quote for further repairs or a new replacement. We will explain any possible call-out charge before arranging a chargeable return visit, and agree additional work and its price with you before proceeding. No call-out charge will be made if the problem is covered.
8. Reporting a problem and your rights
If you notice a problem, contact us promptly on +44 7783 305171 or at moses.plumbing.heating@gmail.com with the property address, completion date and a description of the issue. Report a claim under this guarantee within 3 months of completion so we can arrange an assessment.
This guarantee is additional to your statutory consumer rights and does not limit them, including rights that may continue beyond 3 months or rights relating to products supplied. Any manufacturer’s warranty remains unaffected.
9. Your request information
Your name, address, postcode, contact details, job description and terms agreement are included in the email request you choose to send to moses.plumbing.heating@gmail.com. These details are used to respond to your enquiry and arrange the visit. Your form information stays in place while you read these terms or prepare the email; the website does not automatically send or confirm a booking.
